Privacy Policy
Effective August 9, 2026
This policy explains what information Triton Courage collects when you visit this site or sign up for an event, and how we use it.
Information We Collect
We collect anonymized site usage data through our own self-hosted analytics tool, which does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites. When you sign up for an event, we collect whatever information the sign-up form asks for, typically your name and email address. If you email us directly, we keep your email address and message so we can respond.
How We Use Your Information
We use sign-up information to send you details about the event or activity you registered for, and to follow up about future Triton Courage events. We use aggregated site usage data to understand which pages are useful and to improve the site. We don't use your information for any other purpose.
Third-Party Services
Event sign-ups are handled through Google Forms, so information you submit there is also subject to Google's privacy policy. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with UC San Diego or any other organization except as needed to run an event you signed up for.
Local Preferences
Your language preference is stored only in your browser (in local storage) and is never sent to us.
Your Choices
You can ask us to remove information you've given us directly by emailing contact@triton-courage.org. You can also clear your browser's local storage at any time to reset your saved preferences.
Children's Privacy
This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If our practices change, we'll update this page and revise the effective date above.
